Jan. 10, 1963: Marquee International Jazz Club, London, England (without Charlie)


Jan. 10, 1964: The Stones record ‘Not Fade Away’ at Olympic Studios, London. The song which was originally recorded by Buddy Holly and his band, the Crickets, and it became the Stones first US single.

Jan. 10, 1964: Release of the ‘THE ROLLING STONES’ EP in the UK (Decca DFE 8560)
SIDE A: 1. Bye Bye Johnny/ 2. Money
SIDE B: 1. You Better Move On/ 2. Poison Ivy

Jan. 10, 1964: Release of the TO KNOW HIM IS TO LOVE HIM (by Cleo)/ THERE ARE BUT FIVE ROLLING STONES (by The Andrew Oldham Orchestra) 7″ single (Decca F 11817), both tracks with the Stones as backing group, and Stu on piano

Jan. 10, 1977: At Aylesbury Crown Court in London, England, Keith Richards is tried for possession of LSD
and cocaine. Mick Jagger and John Phillips are in attendance. Keith Richards pleads not guilty and is found not
guilty of possession of LSD but guilty of possession of cocaine. He is fined but no jail sentence is given.

Jan. 10, 1995: The Stones finish shooting the ‘I Go Wild’ promo video at the Ex-Templo de San Lázaro, Mexico City, Mexico


Jan. 10, 2002: Premiere of the THE MAN FROM ELYSIAN FIELDS movie (starring Mick) at the Sundance Film Festival, USA
