ROLLING STONES TRIVIA: ‘BURDEN OF DREAMS’

BURDEN OF DREAMS is a 1982 documentary by Les Blank about the making of the film ‘Fitzcarraldo’, starring German actor Klaus Kinski. The documentary features Mick (as Fitzcarraldo’s assistant Wilbur) and actor Jason Robards (who was replaced with Kinski) Both were forced to leave the film, which was being shot in the Peruvian Amazon by film director Werner Herzog. Mick left the shooting of the movie to start rehearsals for the Stones’ 1981 U.S. tour, while Robards did for illness issues, which led to none of them appearing in ‘Fitzcarraldo’.
