Dec. 16, 1967: The Stones announce that Marianne Faithfull is the first artist being signed to their ‘Mother Earth’ label (planned along the Beatles’ Apple Records) The launching of the rumoured new label never happened until the band started Rolling Stones Records in 1970.

Dec. 16, 1974: Mick Taylor announces he’s leaving The Rolling Stones saying it now was the time to move on and do something new.
