Jan. 13, 2016: Giorgio Gomelsky, the Stones’ first manager, passes away at the age of 82. He was the owner of the Crawdaddy Club in London, where the Stones were the original house band. In May ’63 he was replaced by Andrew Loog Oldham, and Gomelsky went on to manage The Yardbirds, Julie Driscoll and Brian Auger before moving to New York in 1978 and opening The Green Door nightclub.
