From Italy magazine:
More than 70,000 fans gathered at Circus Maximus last night for the much anticipated Italian stop of the Rolling Stones world concert tour “14 on Fire”, which marks the band’s 50th anniversary.

Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ron Wood performed in the Italian capital for the first time since 1982. When, in March, they announced they would be playing at Rome’s ancient chariot racetrack – the biggest of the Roman Empire – 50,000 tickets sold out within a few hours. Additional tickets went on sale earlier this month when organizers decided to make additional seating available.

A flash of fire kicked off the concert, with Keith Richards appearing on the stage, followed by Mick Jagger and the rest of the band at 9:50 pm. The opening song was “Jumpin’ Jack Flash”. All the band’s classics were performed, from “Start Me Up” to “Miss You”, “Sympathy For The Devil”, “Streets of Love”, “You can’t always get what you want” and “Satisfaction” closing the concert.

Speaking Italian, Jagger said, “Che pubblico fantastico”, what a fantastic audience, and “Che posto meraviglioso il Circo Massimo”, what a wonderful place the Circus Maximus is. He predicted Italy will win the World Cup (he guessed right in 1982 and 2006) and said the Italian team will win 2-1 against Uruguay on Tuesday. The Italian capital was invaded by fans from all over Italy and Europe.

On 3 December 2013, the full Australian and New Zealand tour dates were announced and being billed as the 14 On Fire tour. The same day, they announced four other dates in Asia and for the first time one show in Abu Dhabi, Middle East. On 17 January 2014, they announced that they will play a one-off show at the Shanghai Mercedes-Benz Arena on 12 March 2014. On 13 February 2014, they announced that they will play a one-night only show at the Singapore Marina Bay Sands Grand Ballroom on 15 March 2014. On 12 March 2014, they announced that they will headline the Pinkpop Festival in the Netherlands and the TW Classic Festival in Belgium in June 2014.On 17 March 2014, they announced two one-off shows in Germany in June while more major shows in Europe in May, June and July 2014 were announced the following week.
