From Martin Elliott’s book THE ROLLING STONES COMPLETE RECORDING SESSIONS 1962-2012:
The 1971 ‘Tropical Disease’ sessions as they became known due to the hot and sweaty inclement conditions were in full flow. The basement had been temporarily converted into a studio and electronic wires led to the mobile recording unit stationed outside and to the SNCF railway where some national grid was used by the Rolling Stones Mobile generator due to the unreliability of the local grid….This outtake in an Elton John honky tonk vein was a good natured song that was worthy of release. It was re-recorded with Billy Preston on piano in Jamaica in 1972.
