March 18, 1964: City Hall, Salisbury, England

March 18, 1965: ABC Theatre, Romford, England (2 shows)

March 18, 1965: Mick, Brian and Bill were fined £5 ($8.50) after urinating in a public place, following an incident that took place at a petrol station after the Stones gig at the ABC Theatre in Romford, Essex, England.

Keith on Bill’s bladder: “The funniest thing happened. One night coming back from a gig in North London, Bill Wyman, who has this prodigious bladder, decided he wanted to have a pee. So we told the driver to stop. The car is full up with people and a few other people say, ‘Yeah, I could get into that. Let’s take a pee.’ So we leap out and we had chosen a gas station that looked closed but it wasn’t. There we are, up against the wall, spraying away. And suddenly this guy steps out. And a cop flashes his torch on Bill’s cock and says, ‘All right. What you up to then?’ And that was it. The next day it was all in the papers. Bill was accused and Brian was accused of insulting language. Because what they did them for was not peeing but for trespassing”

March 18, 1980: In New York City at the night club Trax, Mick Jagger gets onstage and performs with the Jimmy Rogers Blues Band.

March 18, 1991: Release of the Highwire 12” single (Rolling Stones Records 656756 6) Highwire wasn’t just another single—it stood out as a sharp political commentary. Always attuned to global issues, Mick Jagger directly addressed the Gulf War, challenging the narrative behind it. Although the invasion of Kuwait was presented as the main reason, the song hints at underlying motives like oil interests and arms trading, exposing what Jagger saw as a deeper layer of hypocrisy in international politics.
SIDE A: 1. Highwire/ 2. 2000 Light Years From Home (live in Barcelona 1990)
SIDE B: 1. Sympathy For The Devil (live in Tokyo 1990) 2. I Just Want To Make Love To You (live in London 1990)

March 18, 2017: Death of rock and roll founding father Chuck Berry at age 90.

Mick, Keith and Ronnie (March 18, 2017):
Mick: “I am so sad to hear of Chuck Berry’s passing. I want to thank him for all the inspirational music he gave to us. He lit up our teenage years, and blew life into our dreams of being musicians and performers. His lyrics shone above others & threw a strange light on the American dream. Chuck you were amazing & your music is engraved inside us forever.”
Keith: “One of my big lights has gone out.”
Ron: “So sad. With the passing of Chuck Berry comes the end of an era. He was one of the best and my inspiration, a true character indeed.”
