A Legendary Show in La Plata
In February 2016 The Rolling Stones brought their América Latina Olé Tour to La Plata, Argentina, for three unforgettable nights at Estadio Único. The band’s bond with Argentina has always been special, fueled by fans whose energy and passion for rock and roll are unmatched. The concerts on February 7, 10, and 13 showcased this connection in full force, with audiences welcoming the legendary group like long-lost friends. From the first chord, it was clear these shows were more than performances—they were celebrations of a shared love for music, history, and the enduring spirit of The Rolling Stones.
Classics, Surprises, and Showmanship
The setlists were packed with timeless hits, including Jumpin’ Jack Flash, Start Me Up and Sympathy for the Devil, while fans also enjoyed a special treat: Street Fighting Man, selected through an online vote. Mick Jagger, ever the consummate showman, engaged the audience with flair, sprinkling in Spanish and nods to Argentina’s deep love for rock and football. Keith Richards stepped into the spotlight for Can’t Be Seen and Happy, proving that decades of rock have only sharpened his stage presence. Meanwhile, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts anchored the rhythm section with precision and energy, providing the perfect foundation for the band’s explosive performance.
An Unforgettable Celebration of Rock
These three nights weren’t just concerts—they were electric, all-consuming experiences. From the opening notes to the final encore, the stadium pulsed with energy as fans sang every lyric, jumped in unison, and created an atmosphere only Argentina’s rock lovers could generate. After more than 20 years of performing in the country, The Rolling Stones continue to prove why they are true rock legends. Their connection with the audience was palpable, turning every song into a shared moment of history. For those lucky enough to be there, witnessing the band live wasn’t simply entertainment—it was a vivid, unforgettable piece of rock and roll legacy coming to life.
