The Rolling Stones Ignite São Paulo: Olé Tour 2016 Highlights

The Rolling Stones brought their explosive Olé Tour to São Paulo in 2016, delivering two unforgettable nights at Estádio do Morumbi on February 24 and 27. Fans packed the stadium, buzzing with anticipation as Mick, Keith, Ronnie, and Charlie took the stage, proving once again why they’re the greatest rock and roll band in the world.

From the first chords of Start Me Up the energy was off the charts. Mick Jagger, ever the showman, effortlessly engaged the Brazilian crowd, speaking in Portuguese and dancing like it was still the ’60s. Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood’s guitar work was sharp, raw, and powerful, while Charlie Watts laid down that steady groove like only he could.

The setlist was a mix of classics and surprises, with Gimme Shelter sending chills down spines and Sympathy for the Devil turning Morumbi into a fiery spectacle. As always, Keith got his moment in the spotlight, singing You Got the Silver and Happy with that unmistakable raspy voice.

The São Paulo crowd, famous for its passion, sang every word, creating an electric atmosphere. By the time (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction closed the night, the Stones had once again left their mark, proving that, even after five decades, they still own the stage.

For Brazilian fans, these shows were more than concerts—they were rock and roll history (still) in the making. The Rolling Stones and São Paulo? A perfect match.
