The Rolling Stones finally rocked Bogotá on March 10, 2016, and it was pure magic. Playing at Estadio El Campín as part of their América Latina Olé Tour, Mick, Keith, Ronnie, and Charlie delivered a set full of classics. Over 40,000 fans packed the stadium, singing every word and proving that Colombia had been waiting for this moment for decades.
Mick Jagger, always up for some local flavor, was spotted wandering through La Candelaria neighborhood before the show, soaking in the city’s history and street art. And because he’s Mick, he couldn’t resist trying an oblea, the classic Colombian sweet treat. Just picture it—one of the biggest rock stars in the world casually enjoying a wafer filled with arequipe in Bogotá’s historic district. Iconic.
Also Mick Jagger and Ronnie Wood took some time to explore the city, stopping by the famous Botero Museum. The two rock legends checked out the iconic works of Fernando Botero, known for his exaggerated, voluminous figures. Imagine Mick and Ronnie strolling through the museum, taking in the art, probably cracking a few jokes along the way. Always ones to soak up local culture, they made the most of their time in Colombia before blowing the roof off Estadio El Campín. Rock stars by night, art lovers by day—just another day in the life of the Stones!
For Colombian fans, this show was a long time coming, and the Stones made sure it was worth the wait. Loud, raw, and unforgettable—Bogotá 2016 was rock ‘n’ roll history.
