The Rolling Stones Rock Zurich in 1967
On April 14th 1967 The Rolling Stones hit Zurich as part of their European tour—and it was loud, wild, and a little chaotic, just how the Stones liked it. This tour turned out to be their last one with Brian Jones, the band’s founding multi-instrumentalist who was already showing signs of struggle, both musically and personally.
The Zurich show, held at the Hallenstadion, featured all the raw energy the Stones were known for. The band blasted through hits like Paint It, Black, The Last Timeand Satisfaction, as thousands of fans screamed their heads off. Things even got rowdy in the crowd—as was often the case during this era—and police had to step in to calm things down.
