Rare footage of Mick in the streets of Belém, Pará state, Brazil (that’s near Manaus, where some of the movie scenes were shot), early 1981, around the filming of Fitzcarraldo. The movie was actually shot in Jan/Feb that year, so he might have arrived there before that, as the journalist is wishing him Merry Christmas, while he replies “Happy New Year!”
