The Ronettes, led by Ronnie Spector, were one of the era’s most iconic girl groups, known for their hits like Be My Baby and their glamorous, rebellious image. Meanwhile, the Rolling Stones were quickly rising to prominence with their gritty blues-inspired rock sound.
In 1964, the Ronettes and the Rolling Stones crossed paths on tour in the UK. At the time, the Stones were still establishing themselves, and the Ronettes, already a sensation, were the headlining act. The tour was a significant moment for the Stones, exposing them to large audiences and helping cement their reputation as a must-see live band.

Keith Richards and Ronnie Spector share a rich musical history that goes beyond their early days on the road together. Their collaborations have been occasional but memorable, showcasing a deep mutual respect and friendship rooted in the golden era of rock ’n’ roll. One of the standout moments in their partnership was Keith Richards’ role as and guest guitarist on two tracks (All I Want and Work Out Fine, the latter also featuring Keith on vocals) of Ronnie Spector’s 2006 album, The Last of the Rock Stars. This album highlighted Ronnie’s powerful vocals and timeless style, while Keith’s signature guitar work and production added an authentic rock edge that complemented her voice perfectly. Their musical chemistry brings out the best in both artists, blending the gritty charm of the Rolling Stones’ sound with Ronnie’s classic pop-rock flair.
