The Rolling Stones Rock Chicago’s United Center

On May 28, 2013, The Rolling Stones brought their 50 & Counting tour to the United Center in Chicago, delivering a high-energy performance to a packed crowd. The show was part of their 50th anniversary celebration, and the band showed no signs of slowing down. Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, and Ronnie Wood ran through a powerful setlist packed with classics like Start Me Up, Paint It Black, Gimme Shelter and Jumpin’ Jack Flash.

Special Guests Add Soul and Harmony

This night stood out thanks to two memorable guest appearances. Blues legend Taj Mahal joined the band on a fiery version of Six Days on the Road adding raw authenticity and rootsy charm. Later in the evening, the Roosevelt University Conservatory Chorus accompanied the Stones on You Can’t Always Get What You Want, bringing rich harmonies and a majestic feel to the iconic track. These collaborations gave the show extra depth and emotion, reminding fans of the band’s deep musical roots and ongoing connection to Chicago’s rich musical heritage, which the Stones have been fans of since day one. The evening ended with thunderous applause, sealing another unforgettable chapter in the Stones’ touring legacy.
