The Rolling Stones live in Leicester 1976
*Click forย MORE ROLLING STONES FLASHBACK
By 1976, The Rolling Stones were clearly not interested in playing it safe or politely aging into nostalgiaโthey were still detonating venues across Europe like it was a competitive sport. One standout night in Leicester saw the band tightening their live identity during a tour phase that leaned heavily on reinvention, sharper stage chemistry, and a tougher, more groove-driven sound. The set leaned into fan favourites like Tumbling Dice, Midnight Rambler and You Canโt Always Get What You Want, while newer cuts such as Hot Stuff and Fool to Cry showed a band still willing to experiment instead of recycling comfort zones. The presence of guitarist Ronnie Wood added a raw, flexible edge that shifted the bandโs dynamic on stage in real time. It wasnโt just a concertโit was a loud reminder that rock history can still sweat.
