The Rolling Stones Take Over Manchester
On June 5, 2018, The Rolling Stones brought their No Filter tour to Old Trafford in Manchester, delivering a blistering, sold-out show to more than 50,000 fans. Despite decades on the road, the band proved once again why they remain one of the greatest live acts in rock history. The Manchester concert was part of the second leg of the No Filter tour, which had begun in Europe the previous year and was met with rave reviews and massive turnouts.
The setlist featured a mix of greatest hits and fan favorites. Fans were also treated to “Let’s Spend the Night Together” as a vote-winning song for the night, adding a personal touch to the already electric set. Mick Jagger, at 74 years old, danced and worked the stage like a frontman half his age, while Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, and Charlie Watts kept the band locked in tight.
A Night to Remember in Rock History
The energy at Old Trafford was undeniable, with generations of fans singing along to every word. From the opening chords to the final encore of (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction The Rolling Stones proved they’re still at the top of their game. The sound was powerful, the visuals spectacular, and the crowd connection unforgettable.
Manchester has always been a city with deep musical roots, and this night was another chapter in that legacy. For many in attendance, the 2018 show was more than just a concert—it was a historic celebration of a band that continues to defy time and expectations.
