Forever Young in Minneapolis

As the night wound down at TCF Bank Stadium, red fireworks bloomed into dandelions overhead, and the Stones roared through their encore—You Can’t Always Get What You Want with local choir VocalEssence, and the defiant anthem (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction. It wasn’t just nostalgia—it was euphoria. The rapid-fire jukebox setlist, packed with classics like Start Me Up and Sympathy for the Devil, sent fans hurtling through memories and emotions in quick succession.

For a band that’s been rolling since 1964, their energy was unreal. Mick Jagger danced like a man possessed, from his flashy jackets to his famous strut. His Glimmer Twin, Keith Richards, grinned and growled beside him, while Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood kept the groove raw and alive, like a band still figuring it all out in a garage—only now, in front of 50,000 people.

Minnesota Moments and Rock Magic

Jagger wasn’t just here to perform—he came to explore. Days before the show, he was already wandering Minneapolis, snapping photos at the Roman ruins in Caesarea, admiring Minnehaha Falls, and name-dropping A Prairie Home Companion on stage. His energy reflected a deep curiosity and joy that kept resurfacing, especially during Miss You, when he locked eyes with a motionless fan and called out, “You’re not too old to sing!”

Even minor technical hiccups—like a flickering jumbo screen—couldn’t derail the experience. This was more than a concert. It was a statement: age may add years, but it doesn’t dull the fire. The Stones came back to a city they first played in 1964—and possibly for the last time—and left it with a night that felt timeless. (Ref. The Rolling Stones Minneapolis)
