cleaning up
Keith Richards about cleaning up for the tour (1989)
“The heavy drugs are out, of course. I’d be an idiot – probably wouldn’t be here – if I hadn’t cut them out. But I don’t look to go through life being someone’s image of Keith Richards. I’m inside him. The idea of partying for nine days in order to keep the image of Keith Richards is stupid. That was Keith Richards then. Now I’ll stay up just two or three days.”
