March 12, 1968: The Stones start recording their next single Jumpin’ Jack Flash at Olympic studios, London, with new producer Jimmy Miller. Keith had stated that he and Mick wrote the lyrics while staying at his country house, Redlands, where one morning they were awakened by the sound of gardener Jack Dyer, who was walking past the window. When Mick asked what the noise was, Keith answered, “Oh, that’s Jack, that’s jumpin’ Jack.”
