July 31, 1973: A sudden fire breaks out at Redlands, the Sussex home of Keith Richards. As smoke fills the air, Keith, his partner Anita, and their children quickly flee the house, seeking safety from the growing blaze.
Keith: “I’ve had two or three houses burn down. Redlands burned down once – the roof went with the whole top floor. It was a terrible thing to happen to such a beautiful place. Parts of it date back to the 12th century.”
