From Martin Elliott’s book THE ROLLING STONES COMPLETE RECORDING SESSIONS 1962-2012:
Pierre de Beauport assists the band on hi Keith Richards’ number. The first outtake is mainly instrumental with Mick Jagger on faint vocals and as pretty piano melody. The second (this one) is a more accomplished version with Keith taking lead vocals, also doing backing vocals and the other guitar parts. Chuck Leavell swaps the piano for the organ.

More about ‘You Got It Made’ by The Rolling Stones
*By Marcelo Sonaglioni
The Voodoo Lounge sessions produced some fascinating outtakes, including the track You Got It Made, which showcases the band’s collaborative energy. On this Keith Richards composition, guitar technician Pierre de Beauport lends his assistance, adding depth to the band’s sound. The first outtake of the song is primarily instrumental, with Mick Jagger providing only faint vocals, allowing a delicate piano melody to take center stage. This version, while intriguing, is incomplete, leaving much of the song’s potential yet to be realized.
The second outtake, however, presents a much more polished and accomplished version. Here, Keith Richards takes over lead vocals, delivering his signature gritty tone. He also contributes backing vocals and handles the other guitar parts, creating a fuller and more dynamic sound. Chuck Leavell, known for his versatility, switches from playing piano to playing the organ, adding an atmospheric layer that complements the track’s evolving energy. This version of You Got It Made captures the true essence of the Stones’ creative process during the Voodoo Lounge era, highlighting their ability to experiment and refine their ideas into a compelling finished product. The final result is a standout moment in the band’s later work.
