April 28, 1968: The Stones shoot a promo video for Jumpin’ Jack Flash (version #1) in London miming to a different recorded take of the song.

In 1968 director Michael Lindsay-Hogg worked with the Rolling Stones to create two promotional videos for their new single Jumpin’ Jack Flash. Shot at Olympic Studios in London, one version featured the band against a white backdrop, while the other had them surrounded by dark, smoky visuals, highlighting a grittier image. Lindsay-Hogg, already known for his work on TV show Ready Steady Go!, captured the Stones’ raw energy and helped define their visual style during a pivotal moment in their career, setting a standard for future music videos.
