August 25, 1967: Mick and Marianne Faithfull join the Beatles on a transcendental meditation seminar by the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in Bangor, Wales. The visit drew worldwide attention to Transcendental Meditation and offered the youth of the 1960s a different path to higher consciousness, one that didn’t rely on psychedelic drugs.
