Aug. 6, 2005: Death of early Stones’ drummer Carlo Little.
Carlo Little was a powerful British drummer who briefly played with the Rolling Stones in their early days. Known for his energetic, hard-hitting style, he had previously performed with Screaming Lord Sutch and was considered one of the loudest drummers of his time. Though his stint with the Stones was short, he helped shape their early sound before Charlie Watts officially joined. Little’s influence remains a footnote in Stones history, showcasing the band’s roots in raw rhythm and blues.
