Feb. 2, 2005: Mick appears onstage at Basil’s Bar during the annual 10th Annual Mustique Blues Festival in Mustique, West Indies performing three songs: I’m Goin’ Down/ Dust My Broom/ Honky Tonk Women.
The Mustique Blues Festival is an annual music event held on the private Caribbean island of Mustique. Founded by blues musician Dana Gillespie in 1996, the festival brings together renowned blues artists for intimate performances at Basil’s Bar, a legendary venue on the island. The festival typically takes place in late January and early February, attracting both locals and international visitors. Proceeds from the event support the Basil Charles Educational Foundation, which provides scholarships and aid to children in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Over the years, the festival has featured top blues musicians, creating a unique island-blues experience.

February 2, 2006: The Stones hold a press conference in Detroit to promote their upcoming appearance at the Superbowl.
Later on they took the stage during the Super Bowl halftime show in Detroit, performing three songs. However the band later voiced their frustration over Mick Jagger’s microphone being lowered during Start Me Up, a decision they saw as unnecessary and heavy-handed. The lyric “you make a dead man come” was muted, stripping the song of one of its most provocative lines. Adding to their annoyance, a suggestive reference to “cocks” in their then-new track Rough Justice was also omitted, reinforcing concerns about creative control, broadcast standards, and the limits placed on rock ’n’ roll’s raw expression.
