It’s Only Rock ’n Roll is the Stones’ 12th British and 14th American studio album, produced by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards as The Glimmer Twins. It topped the US charts and reached number two in the UK. Blending blues-rock foundations with touches of funk and reggae, the record explores fame, troubled relationships, and darker emotional territory. It also marked the final band album featuring guitarist Mick Taylor, while future member Ronnie Wood contributed to the development of its title track.

October 18, 2012: The four Rolling Stones, joined by former bassist Bill Wyman, attend the premiere of their new documentary Crossfire Hurricane, at the Odeon Cinema in Leicester Square, London, as part of the London Film Festival. The event brings together current and former members of the band to celebrate a film tracing their remarkable journey, from their early days in the British music scene to their rise as one of rock’s most influential groups.
