October 16 gives The Rolling Stones plenty of reasons to revisit the archives, from their early days playing British theatres to the unexpected pleasures of a secret Toronto club show. The 1997 Bridges to Babylon Tour brings a stadium-sized setlist, while Light the Fuse captures the band in a far more intimate setting, proving that rock stars occasionally enjoy playing somewhere smaller than a football pitch. There’s also Keith Richards turning up on K’naan’s Country, God or the Girl, because apparently one musical universe isn’t enough. Different decades, different stages, and no shortage of Stones-related surprises.

The Stones performed this intimate secret club show before approximately 1,000 fans, offering a rare opportunity to experience the band in a small venue. The concert served as a warm-up to launch their massive 2005–2007 A Bigger Bang world tour. Initially the recording was released exclusively through Google Music, later Google Play, and the official Stones Archive, making it a distinctive entry in the band’s live catalogue.

Country, God or the Girl is the third and final studio album by Somali-Canadian rapper K’naan, blending confessional hip-hop with pop, folk, rock, soul, and dancehall influences.
