December 19, 1969: Mick is fined £200 plus 50 guineas costs at Marlborough Magistrates Court for illegal possession of cannabis.

December 19, 1975: Ronnie Wood officially becomes a Rolling Stone, sealing a move that had been building for months. With Rod Stewart bringing The Faces to an end, the timing finally made sense, and Ronnie slipped into the band almost naturally. He’d already toured and recorded with the Stones, so this wasn’t a dramatic shake-up as much as a confirmation of what everyone could already hear. Ronnie brought a loose, instinctive feel that locked perfectly with Keith Richards, redefining the band’s twin-guitar sound. It wasn’t about flashy leads or ego—just groove, feel, and chemistry. From that moment on, the Stones sounded a little more relaxed, a little more dangerous, and very much like a band that had found its missing piece.
